Tiffin Delivery

Do you deliver to my area?

Our tiffin delivery coverage is constantly expanding. We currently deliver to most of Northern NJ (Most of Bergen County, Hoboken, Jersey City, Weehawken, and surrounding areas) as well as all locations in NYC including Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn

If you live outside of these areas and are interested in Indian tiffin delivery, please visit www.haldibay.com to learn about our tiffin shipping service.

What if I am not home to receive the food?

No problem! If your building has a concierge facility, our driver will call or text you upon arrival and will request that you pick up your package from the lobby.

Generally, we are able to offer the following options:

  • Tiffin can be delivered to a workplace

  • For single-family homes, tiffins can be left by the doorstep

  • Tiffin can also be left in package room if your building permits

If none of the above options suits your needs then we can advise the driver to coordinate delivery timing with you and/or leave the tiffin in an alternate location.

What is the minimum for Tiffin delivery?

The minimum for tiffin delivery is 1 tiffin plan (mini tiffin, ez khana, subzi only, or rasoi ghar).

The minimum for rotis or parathas is $40.

What should I do with the containers after I'm done with the tiffins?
We care deeply about the environment and have ensured that all containers are fully recyclable and reusable. You may wish to recycle the containers, reuse for personal use, or return sanitized containers to your delivery driver for reuse.

We’re always on the hunt for more sustainable packaging solutions – feel free to reach out if you have any suggestions!

Our Tiffins

What are "Tiffin Plans"?

Tiffin plans are geared towards those who are looking for food for multiple days. Our Tiffin plans are very popular. The menu is planned so that one receives healthy and balanced meals which cover a wide variety of Indian Cuisine.

Tiffin plans are delivered on a day that you choose (based on the delivery schedule) and the food typically lasts about 8-10 meals.

“Tiffins” originated in India where fresh food is packed and hand-delivered to tens of thousands of people on a daily basis.

What type of cooking style does Bombay Takeout have?

The answer to this is very simple. We make sure that our North Indian dishes taste like North Indian dishes, our South Indian dishes like South Indian dishes, our Gujarati dishes…you get the idea :).

Plain and simple, our cooking style does justice to the origins of the dish without the use of heavy oils, fats or additives.

What are some of your "high-quality" ingredients?

All menu dishes are prepared with Olive Oil.
We use the freshest vegetables, pure high quality spices, fresh un-canned legumes, whole wheat flour, and so forth.

None of the following are ever used:

Food colors, MSG, preservatives, stabilizers, thickening agents, corn syrup, trans fats, artificial flavorings, hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils (very common in restaurant food).

Lastly, our highest quality ingredient is our kitchen staff– who understand how to prepare healthy and delicious home-made style food.

Will my Tiffin stay fresh for an entire week?

YES!

We can assure you that our food can stay fresh for a minimum of 6 days under proper refrigeration.

My food was cold and it seems like it had been refrigerated prior to delivery, why is that?

After preparing the food we allow it to cool before packing and refrigerating it. This process is very important in preserving the freshness of the food and ensures that it lasts for a minimum of 6 days.

How do I store the food & re-heat it?

Storing:

All foods can be stored in the refrigerator with their original packaging (containers, foils, etc.). Rotis, parathas, etc. should be properly covered to prevent them from becoming hard.

Reheating:

All our containers are microwave-safe and can be reheated in either the plastic container it is packed in or any microwave-safe dish. Rotis can be reheated on a gas oven-range for about 10 seconds on each side (medium flame) or for about 20 seconds in the microwave.

Do you accommodate special dietary needs?

Yes, we definitely try to. Please mention your dietary and/or any allergy restrictions you may have when placing your order and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
